Exot(h)erminus - Environment Design - Unity

I created this environment in early 2020 as part of a course on 3D environment design. The idea was to create a cave containing the ruins of a technologically advanced lost civilization.

I upgraded the project to the newest LTS version of Unity to render out an animation and take some screenshots. Since I used the HD Render Pipeline (HDRP) this also allowed me to try out some of the raytracing effects which I didn't have access to when I originally started the project, although when compared with Unreal these seem to have way less of a visual impact.

Most of the assets were done purely in Blender, including the design and baking of most of the textures, which was an interesting approach to try out, but not something I'd really recommend. I only really started using the Subtance tools towards the end to add some of the details.
